Our friends from Rotary Club of Wasaga Beach had a wonderful gift for our affiliate from their Corvette draw proceeds. They held a trade show format event for the charitable recipients to display their program information and show the good work that they do in the community. Shown (from left) are Terri Ewing, Cathie Hunt, Angela Piercey, Joy Fleury (Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity South Georgian Bay), Bryan Davies and Kevin de Groot.
We’re thrilled and blessed to receive this generous donation – an investment in the lives of local families in need of safe, decent, affordable housing in our region.
Join us for the festivities at our AGM on June 7th
Habitat South Georgian Bay is excited to celebrate our rich and meaningful history at our Annual General Meeting to be held on Wednesday, June 7th. We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate this milestone with our Habitat family and friends – past, present & future – and will include highlights of past successes, program spotlights and announcements.
We are also thrilled to announce our special guest speaker, Mr. Mark Rodgers, President and CEO of Habitat Canada. Mark has been involved with Habitat for Humanity for over 16 years in various capacities before being promoted to his current role in 2014. Mark has a wealth of non-profit experience and business acumen; a true champion, he believes strongly in the transformational impact of our work. A dynamic and engaging speaker, Mark’s leadership continues to inspire us to new horizons. His personal life motto is captured in the simple statement: Live to make a difference.
In the spirit of our long history of community involvement, we invite you to reminisce with us over a potluck dinner (we’ll take care of the main meat dishes if you can provide the sides, appetizers or desserts.)
